President's Message

Britney Webb

Dear TDIAI Members and Friends,

It is with deep gratitude and humility that I step into the role of President of the Texas Division of the IAI. Serving this exceptional organization—made up of dedicated professionals committed to excellence in forensic science and identification—is both an honor and a responsibility I carry with great respect.

As we look to the year ahead, I am excited about the opportunities we have to grow and evolve together. One of my primary goals is to expand access to educational resources and training for our members. Whether you're just beginning your journey in the field or are a seasoned expert, we want to ensure you have the tools, knowledge, and support to thrive in your career.

Equally important is our collective well-being. The nature of our work often carries emotional and psychological demands. This year, I am prioritizing conversations and resources centered on mental health—breaking down stigmas, promoting peer support, and ensuring that each of us has the opportunity to care for ourselves as we care for others.

Finally, I’m thrilled to share that the TDIAI Annual Educational Conference is coming to Frisco, Texas, in 2026! Planning is already underway, and we look forward to showcasing the best of our profession while offering unmatched training, collaboration, and fellowship. I encourage you to stay engaged and consider how you can contribute to making this an unforgettable event.

Thank you for the trust you've placed in me. I look forward to working alongside each of you as we continue to elevate our profession and support one another along the way.

With appreciation,
Britney Webb
