Friction Ridge Investigation Webinar - Presented by Texas Forensic Commission

March 7, 2024 at 11am-1pm CST

The Texas Forensic Science Commission is hosting a webinar on March 7, 2024 at 11am-1pm CST to present its findings in the recent Friction Ridge Investigative Report stemming from a complaint filed on behalf of the defendant in a Harris County cold case murder trial.  The report makes observations regarding the analysis and documentation performed on a complex latent palm mark in suspected blood found on a curved pole at the crime scene.  The report makes recommendations regarding best practices in the field.  This webinar is an opportunity to discuss community questions and concerns.  We will be joined by Lynn Garcia (TFSC General Counsel), Dr. Patrick Buzzini (TFSC Commissioner), Sandy Parent (DPS), and Dr. Glenn Langenburg (Subject Matter Expert).
